Overview
Private 5G/LTE is a network that runs dedicatedly in organizations such as industrial plants, hospitals, police departments, campuses, airports, ports. It brings benefits of greater speed, security, connective coverage and capacity than ever before. The concept of deploying a private 5G/LTE as easy as a Wi-Fi network and free of charge will likely accelerate the implementation in these organizations.
Introduced by the FCC, the CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) is a new private 5G/LTE network option now available in the U.S. It defined new ways to use the 3.55-3.7 GHz band that was previously exclusive to the U.S. military and satellite stations. Now it’s available for enterprises use, meeting the rising user expectations in facilities. With the growing numbers of connected IoT devices to hit 27 billion by 2025, the private 5G/LTE begins to show its potential to the market. Today we are gathering engineers from GSA, Beecham Research, OnGo Alliance and Fibocom, to discuss why it’s important for organizations to adopt private 5G/LTE, and what are the benefits of it.
